We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a hands‑on role overseeing all financial activities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong commercial insight to support business growth.

Financial Controller Role

As a Financial Controller, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting, month‑end, budgeting, and reporting. You'll lead the finance function, streamline processes, and provide key financial data to senior leadership for informed decision‑making.

Financial Controller Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance operations, including purchase/sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
• Produce monthly management accounts, year-end statements, and statutory reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Manage audits and liaise with external accountants
• Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insight
• Improve financial processes and systems for efficiency
• Oversee and mentor a small finance team (if applicable)

Essential

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance role
• Proficiency with Sage
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills
• Previous experience within a commercial, multi-million turnover organisation

Desirable
