Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 7 accountants.

• Present monthly financial results to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes.
• Ensure audit readiness through robust internal controls.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide financial insights to support budgeting, forecasting and planning.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate reporting.
• Act as main contact for external auditors and support year-end audit.

Overview

A key client for a qualified and experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a multi-billion revenue business.

This role will manage and develop a team of seven accountants and take full ownership of month-end management reporting, continuous process improvement, and delivering insightful financial analysis to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 7 qualified and part-qualified accountants, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the full month-end management accounting process, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful reporting.
• Present monthly financial results, KPIs and performance commentary to senior stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, controls, and systems, reducing close timelines and enhancing data quality.
• Ensure audit readiness through robust internal controls, accurate reconciliations, and effective documentation of processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure finance supports wider business objectives.
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and automate reporting tasks.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and support the year-end audit process.

Candidate Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
