G1 Search is thrilled to be exclusively partnering with one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable businesses to appoint a Financial Controller based in East Belfast.

Reporting to the Finance Director and executive leadership team, the Financial Controller will lead an experienced finance team and take full ownership of the finance function. You will oversee all aspects of financial operations, including statutory reporting, compliance, and internal controls, while also driving commercial insight through financial analysis, planning, and decision support.

This is a business-critical role offering the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the organisation while delivering operational rigour within a complex and fast-paced environment.

What We Are Looking For

• An experienced accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in progressive finance roles, with proven experience in successful team leadership
• Demonstrated success in managing significant budgets and driving financial performance.
• Strong track record in statutory accounts, VAT, management reporting, and financial analysis
• Excellent technical knowledge with advanced Excel and ERP system skills
• Experience in regulated or infrastructure sectors is desirable
• Confident communicator with a commercial mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
