Job description

Part‑time Financial Controller required in Barnsley

We are looking for a detailed‑orientated and experienced Financial Controller to join us at The Part‑Time Finance People to support our clients in Barnsley and surrounding areas.

About the role

About You

You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably, you are already self‑employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

• Preparation of management accounts / reports
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Cashflow and profit forecasting
• Experience and working knowledge of Xero (ideally exposure with Sage50, QuickBooks as well)
• Experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
• Be commercially experienced
• Year‑end processes (but not statutory accounts)
• Experienced excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs
• Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non‑financial leaders
• You must be fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACMA / FCCA / ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.

Rate of pay : £35 per hour

Location : Barnsley (Onsite)

Hours : 2-3 days available
