Job summary

Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is recruiting a Financial Control Officer to join its finance team in a hybrid role. You will work across banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and VAT, supported by funded qualifications and study leave. A strong emphasis is placed on accuracy, reporting, and continuous service improvement.

The role offers flexible working options, 37 hours per week, and potential progression into broader finance opportunities within DVSA.

Qualifications

• Accounts payable expertise in a medium/large organisation.
• Strong intermediate Excel and MS Office skills for reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts payable transactions and ensure accurate processing.
• Produce and analyse monthly financial reports and payroll data as required.
• Liaise with Shared Services, banks, suppliers and auditors to resolve issues.
• Maintain internal controls and promote continuous service improvements.
