Responsibilities

  • Manage the weekly operational finance reporting and provide insight into the weekly EBIT figure.
  • Monthly reporting including journal entries and KPIs sharing.
  • Lead the creation of the site budget and forecasts.
  • Liaise with the commercial team.
  • Act as a business partner to operational teams to drive cost savings.
  • Oversee and develop two finance assistants.
  • Manage overhead management and reporting.
  • Set up new products on relevant factory systems.
  • Contribute to leadership discussions as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

Job Summary
The role is a maternity cover position starting January 2026

The Business Controller delivers operational finance reporting and provides insightful data to support strategic and operational decision making. The role partners with operational teams and other departments to drive efficiency, cost savings, and continuous improvement. You will lead a small finance team, foster a collaborative environment, support system setup for new products, and contribute to the Senior Leadership Team with financial insight that informs wider business objectives.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Manage the weekly operational finance reporting, providing insight into the weekly EBIT figure and sharing results and breakdowns of deviations with the SLT and wider business.
  • Monthly reporting, including journal entries, reconciling back to weekly accounts and producing KPIs that are shared with UK stakeholders.
  • Lead the creation of the site budget and forecasts, including operational costs and overheads.
  • Liaising with the commercial team
  • Act as a business partner to operational teams to drive cost savings and improvements.
  • Oversee and develop two finance assistants, managing their responsibilities and creating a productive work environment.
  • Overhead management and reporting.
  • Manage the set up of new products on relevant factory systems
  • Part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to leadership discussions and wider business initiatives.
