A leading water utility company in Huntingdon seeks a Financial Auditor to ensure effective financial controls and participate in risk assessments. This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective design and operation of the financial controls of the Group, alongside updating the existing Financial Controls Manual. It will involve a thorough financial risk assessment, testing the design and operating effectiveness of those controls and implementing any remediation required . A key part of this role is ensuring we maintain effective controls for our £11bn Totex plan in AMP8 (Asset Management Period).
You will support the Financial Controls Manager, working with Heads of department to understand financial risk and design effective control. You will need to have a pragmatic approach to work and be confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You will be required to support the production of monthly reporting to the Board on the effectiveness of controls and provide updated papers to the Audit Committee.
