Financial Analyst Industrial Placemen
If you want work experience that really counts, consider a placement with Phillips 66. We are looking for an accounting or finance student to join us for a one-year industrial placement starting in summer 2026, working at our Humber Refinery in a fast-paced Finance Department that supports a large industrial organisation.
If successful, your time will be spent gaining valuable experience within this busy finance department. You will be part of a team of analysts providing business information, transactional functions and analytical support to the Humber Refinery business units. You will use the knowledge learned at university to assist with the preparation of budgets and actuals for different areas of the business alongside monthly reporting and cost analysis.
We are looking for a student who will have completed at least their 2nd year of a degree in Accounting or Finance and be on course to achieve a minimum grade of 2:1.
The Humber Refinery participates in the UK's decarbonisation efforts. As part of the UK Government\'s net zero ambition, the Humber Refinery is on a journey to become the Refinery of the Future, with plans including a first-of-a-kind FCC carbon capture project as part of Humber Zero, a world-scale initiative to reduce UK industry carbon emissions, saving up to 8 million tonnes of CO2 by 2030 from the Immingham area.
The Humber Refinery is also the UK\'s only refiner producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel at scale and the only European facility producing battery anode coke, a key component for lithium-ion batteries used in EVs and consumer electronics. Our current production of battery anode coke is capable of supporting 1.3 million EVs per year, and we are developing multiple projects to expand this capability.
We are on an exciting journey—are you ready to join us?
