Are you a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant looking to develop your analytical and reporting skills in a dynamic, data-driven environment?

We’re seeking a Finance Analyst to join one of our high profile clients in a growing finance team, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting with a focus on month-end processes.

The role has 3 days hybrid working in the office each week in Reading.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform core month-end tasks, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and revenue recognition.
  • Conduct variance analysis and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage invoicing processes and ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Work independently to identify and resolve issues, ensuring financial integrity.
  • Analyse and manage large datasets in Excel with precision and attention to detail.
  • Assist with audit queries, budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
  • Support process improvements to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience in month-end financial processes, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, revenue recognition, variance analysis, invoicing, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Skills
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyse large datasets.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks.
