JSS are partnered with a global specialty insurer, to support the reinsurance division in hiring an FP&A Analyst to join their team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting strategic decision-making, reporting and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the financial planning and analysis cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support on financial reporting on the reinsurance financial results, ensuring reports are out accurately and on time.
• Reconciliation of data and investigating accuracy as it moves from the finance system into the general ledger.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance and business drivers.
• Assist in the development of management reports and dashboards to track key metrics.
• Contribute to the analysis of reinsurance-related financials, ensuring accuracy and clarity in reporting.
• Participate in strategic initiatives and projects aimed at improving financial processes and systems.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support senior leadership and business partners.

Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in a finance analyst position within an insurer or reinsurer - ESSENTIAL.
• Previous experience in supporting with financial statement accuracy with general ledger experience essential.
• Ideally profiles from backgrounds in reinsurance/ insurance technicians, technical accountants, ceded reinsurance accountants, or reinsurance finance analysts.
• Strong technical reporting and understanding to ensure financial reports are accurate and relevant to local GAAPS.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with reporting tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to business partner with the stakeholders across the reinsurance arm (actuarial, underwriting, etc).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
