Job summary

TEMPLEGATE RECRUITMENT is seeking an Independent Financial Adviser to join a Leeds-based team. You will provide holistic financial advice to new and existing clients, managing relationships, conducting reviews and delivering strategies across investments, pensions and protection.

The role requires a fully qualified adviser with Level 4 Diploma, experience in an IFA or financial planning environment, and comfort working in a small, family-like business setting.

Qualifications

• Must be fully qualified Financial Adviser.
• Level 4 Diploma qualification required as minimum.
• Experience delivering holistic financial planning and advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic financial advice to new and existing clients.
• Manage and develop client relationships and conduct meetings and annual reviews.
• Provide advice across investments, pensions and protection.
• Assess clients’ financial circumstances and risk appetite.
• Develop and implement financial planning recommendations.
• Work with Paraplanning and administration teams.
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records.
• Support business growth and client portfolio management.

Job Title: Independent Financial Adviser

Location: Leeds - Office Based

Salary: Circa £50,000, negotiable depending on experience

About the Company:

An established and well-regarded financial services firm is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Independent Financial Adviser to join their growing team in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Adviser who is looking to join a smaller, close-knit business and take on an existing portfolio of clients. The Managing Director currently has a significant client bank and is looking for an additional Adviser to provide ongoing support and help manage client relationships.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an important role within the business and work as part of a friendly, hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic financial advice to new and existing clients
• Take responsibility for managing and developing client relationships
• Conduct client meetings and annual reviews
• Provide advice across areas including investments, pensions and protection
• Assess clients' financial circumstances, objectives and attitude to risk
• Develop and implement suitable financial planning recommendations
• Work closely with the Paraplanning and administration teams
• Ensure all advice and client documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with clients
• Support the continued growth and development of the business

What We're Looking For:

• Fully qualified Financial Adviser
• Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum
• Previous experience working as a Financial Adviser within an IFA or financial planning environment
• Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and wider financial planning
• Experience managing and servicing an existing client bank
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A professional and client-focused approach
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working within a small, family-run business environment
• Willingness to work office-based in Leeds
