Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice that are looking to recruit a Financial Adviser to join their team in Horsham. They are looking for a qualified IFA who is looking to join a busy practice. They will also provide client leads to the individual.

To provide financial planning and investment advice to new and existing clients of the firm, while at all times upholding the principles of the firm.

To provide their clients with financial guidance and make recommendations on how to best utilise their money, demonstrating the ability to research the marketplace on available products and services, identify customers’ needs, design financial strategies and close a sale.

You will spend your day talking to clients about their financial objectives and risk tolerance and then recommend an appropriate financial planning strategy.

To excel in this tightly regulated role you should already have the appropriate licenses and deep knowledge of all the latest financial products on the market.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Talk to clients to determine their expenses, income, insurance coverage, financial objectives, tax status, risk tolerance, or other information needed to provide strategic financial advice and develop a financial plan across a variety of financial products and services.
  • Analyse financial data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients' financial goals and guide clients towards a profitable and secure financial decision.
  • Cultivate and maintain the client base and build relationships.
  • Network, generate leads and grasp opportunities to promote the company to both potential clients, valuers, providers, solicitors and other professional connections.
  • Keep abreast of new industry trends and research the market to back up financial consulting.
  • Prepare or interpret financial document summaries, investment performance reports and income projections for clients.
  • Review client accounts and plans on a regular basis to understand if life or economic changes, situational concerns, or financial performance necessitate changes in their plan in line with the client service proposition.
  • Promote and work at all times towards the companies policy of delivery of Client Best Interest outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence at all times to the companies suite of policy and procedures, with distinct regard and compliance with the Conflict of Interest Policy and Inducement and Incentive policy.
  • Assist the Sales Manager and Sales & Development Director for day to day duties as and when required including supervision of trainee advisers.
  • Comply with all industry rules and regulations.
  • Take responsibility for own performance and to identify personal development areas.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant financial industry qualifications (essential).
  • Up to date Statement of Professional Standing (essential).
  • Proven working experience as a successful Financial Adviser (essential).
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and relevant financial software systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply.
