Job summary

A care organization in West London is seeking a Finance Administrator with expertise in financial accounting and excellent organizational skills. You will manage various finance-related tasks, support the Accountant, and ensure efficient operations. Job Overview

Desired Prior Experience
  • Previous experience in recruitment agency, a care home or nursing home or a doctor’s surgery or similar is desirable but not essential.
  • You will have good communication skills, computer literate, good telephone manner, be organized and dynamic, work well under pressure in a busy environment and generally be a kind, caring and friendly person.
Responsibilities

The ideal applicant will be experienced and talented candidate to join them supporting the Accountant. This is a busy and varied role and will involve:

  • Understand the recruitment process (DBS check, sending out references and chasing them, sending out offer letters and contracts.)
  • Ability to make up staff files and residents files.
  • Support the Manager and Nursing staff in fixing appointments and general admin tasks.
  • Organize petty cash.
  • Organize timesheets for staff.
  • Assist with the rotas (when required).
  • General reception duties e.g. welcome visitors, family members, deal with GP’s etc. Assisting in the efficient running of finance systems and admin processes.
  • Answering emails related to accounting queries.
  • Hard and soft copy invoice filing.
  • Corporate credit card management and reconciliation.
  • Petty cash and receipt reconciliation.
  • Invoice and PO reconciliation.
  • Send out supplier invoice payments.
  • Check staff expenses.
  • Timesheet analysis and reconciliations.
Essential Qualifications
  • AAT/ACCA qualified or similar.
  • At least 2 years of financial accounting experience.
  • Experience in managing budgets/budgetary control.
  • Sound knowledge of working applications and key HMRC regulations.
  • Appreciation and working knowledge of financial contracts.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.
