Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively selected to assist a fast-growing, retail-focused business with appointing an experienced accountant in a newly created role.

Working closely with a Financial Controller and a growing transactional finance team, this position centers on financial reporting while spanning the end-to-end finance function and developing new processes to support continued growth.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes within a fast-growing business.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing new accounting processes and systems.
• Knowledge of multi-currency transactions and EU VAT desirable.
• Experience recruiting and developing a small transactional finance team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of monthly management reports with commentary.
• Produce high-quality financial reporting packs in line with FCA requirements.
• Oversee VAT reports for UK and EU entities.
• Act as key contact for internal and external audits.
• Deputise for Financial Controller as needed and manage a small team.
