Job summary

Ricardo is hiring a Financial Accountant in the UK to join our team delivering accurate financial reporting, statutory and management accounts, and robust controls. The role collaborates with internal and group stakeholders to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will optimize processes, maintain ledger integrity, and contribute to timely decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• IFRS knowledge applied in business context.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
• Advanced Excel skills for management reports and financial models.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end close processes, meet deadlines, ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• Prepare, review and post journal entries with robust supporting docs.
• Maintain general ledger integrity with accurate postings and classifications.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate issues timely.
• Prepare management accounts with timely, accurate information for decision-making.
• Monitor cash, FX exposure and key performance indicators.
• Oversee working capital and provide cash flow reporting/forecasting.
• Deliver group reporting in line with policies and consolidation.
• Coordinate with Group Finance, Tax and Treasury on consolidation and cash strategy.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to queries.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance reporting.
• Assist in preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Oversee non-financial reporting and regulatory submissions (ONS, etc.).
