Cherry Professional Ltd in Derbyshire is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a hybrid basis. You will support month-end reporting, statutory accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and key regulatory compliance, working closely with senior finance leaders.

Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified with a practice background, you will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Practice-trained background preferred.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.

• Strong Excel and analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting.
• Support the preparation and review of statutory accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with the year-end audit process.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Support technical accounting projects and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Assist with the preparation of financial information and reporting packs for senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to resolve accounting queries and provide financial insight.
• Support tax, compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
