Job summary

EF Recruitment is assisting a global software services leader in London to find an experienced Financial Accountant for a 3-month hybrid contract based at their central London offices. The role requires strong US GAAP or IFRS knowledge and ACA/ACCA qualification.

The successful candidate will maintain financial records, perform month-end close, prepare key financial statements, and support VAT and corporate tax compliance. Prior Oracle Financials and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting with experience across US GAAP/IFRS and EMEA local GAAP.
• Solid month-end close experience including journals and reconciliations.
• Experience in VAT and corporate tax filings and compliance.
• Proficient in Oracle Financials and advanced Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records and ensure accurate postings.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger and balance accounts.
• Prepare balance sheets, P&L and other financial reports.
• Analyze costs and revenues to forecast future financial performance.

Job description

Our client is a global leader in the Software services field. They are now seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 3 month contract based at their prestigious central London offices. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office.

Duties

• Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Skills/Qualifications

• Strong technical (US GAAP or IFRS, EMEA local GAPP) and financial accounting expertise.
• Month end close experience (Journals and reconciliations).
• Compliance filing experience (Financial statement preparation, VAT, Corporate tax).
• Accounting software. (Oracle financials ). Excel and presentation skills.
• Professional Financial Accounting qualification, ACA or ACCA.
• Able to interpret and present in lay terms to non-technical finance and other business partners.
