Description

After a busy period of growth at KERB, we’re on the search for a detail-driven and forward-thinking Financial Accountant to join KERB on a 6-month fixed-term contract - supporting a busy finance function. Reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our month-end numbers, strengthening controls and processes, and helping us build the financial foundations for KERB’s continued growth.

To be successful, you’ll need to thrive in a dynamic, multi-entity complex environment - interrogating balance sheets, supporting the annual budgeting process, and uncovering opportunities and risks across the KERB group. With audit experience and ideally, recently qualified with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent - you’ll bring both technical confidence and commercial curiosity, helping to document how we work today while shaping how we operate going into 2026 and beyond.

Looking ahead, you’ll review our readiness for upcoming accounting standards changes, ensuring we’re compliant, prepared and proactive.

If you love getting into the detail, proactively solving problems, and working collaboratively in a fast-moving, impact-led business, we’d love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing
  • Delivering and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations across all KERB entities.
  • Interrogating balance sheets to identify variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and insights for the Finance Director and wider team.
  • Documentation of controls and processes within the finance function
  • Preparing and reviewing audit documentation, ensuring compliance across the KERB Group.
  • Working cross-collaboratively with team members and key stakeholders across both the finance team and the wider KERB Group
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements across finance systems and reporting workflows.
  • Assisting with KPI and management reporting, contributing to the ongoing development of the Management Information Pack.
  • Identifying the impact of changes in accounting standards impacting the businesses from April 2026
  • Contributing to ad-hoc finance projects to support continuous improvement and scalability as the business grows.
What you'll bring to KERB

Essential

  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and a solid technical grounding.
  • Audit experience, with a strong grasp of controls, compliance and financial integrity.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel, formulas and systems skills, with the ability to turn data into insight and drive smarter ways of working.

Desired but not essential

  • Experience working within hospitality, FMCG or retail environments, ideally across complex or multi-entity structures.
  • Familiarity with Lightspeed and SAP (or similar systems).
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities, including international operations.
  • Exposure to group consolidation and reporting.
What you'll get by joining KERB
  • Generous F&B discount across KERB food and drinks
  • 25 days holiday - pro-rata (excluding bank holidays) + birthday day off
  • Health Cash Plan (BHSF)
  • Personal Wellbeing Allowance (Juno)
  • CODE App Membership
  • Private Medical Insurance (Vitality)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Cycle To Work scheme
  • Annual season ticket loan
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave after 2 years
  • A London Living Wage and Disability Confident Committed employer
