Responsibilities

• Managing treasury enquiries including payments and bank correspondence.

• Assisting with audits, including statutory, interim, and government audits.
• Supporting sustainability and environmental finance reporting.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Financial Accountant with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

As a Financial Accountant you will support the Financial Controller with treasury management, reconciliations, and preparation of statutory and management accounts.

The Financial Accountant will also assist with audits, stock checks, and environmental financial reporting, playing a key role in ensuring the organisation maintains accurate and compliant financial data.

DUTIES

Your duties as a Financial Accountant include:

• Managing Treasury Enquiries: Raising payments, inter-company netting, and bank correspondence
• Completing Financial Reconciliations: Preparing accurate balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Cash Forecasting: Supporting cash flow and investment planning activities
• Maintaining Assets and Investments: Recording and reconciling financial assets and insurance records
• Supporting Audits: Assisting with statutory, interim, and government audits
• Environmental Reporting: Supporting sustainability and environmental finance reporting
• Preparing Reports: Year-end and ad hoc financial reports as required
• Ensuring Compliance: Adhering to financial policies, procedures, and audit standards

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in financial accounting, management accounting, or audit support
• Proven attention to detail with excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and Outlook
• Experience with SAP or SAGE is advantageous
• AAT/CIMA/ACCA studier, part-qualified or equivalent
• Strong team player with a proactive and positive attitude
