Financial Accountant

£55,000 - £65,000 DOE

Hamilton Woods are partnering with an excellent and growing business in the heart of Leicestershire who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, and audit, within a fast‑paced, supportive environment. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure robust financial governance, drive process improvements, and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This role offers genuine development and progression, with clear potential to step into a senior finance position within 12-24 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in line with accounting standards
  • Full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
  • Support with statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory and tax returns (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.)
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
  • Support system and process improvements within the finance function
Role Requirements
  • Finalist or fully qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Highly organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Advanced Excel and IT skills
