Alexander Daniels has partnered with a dynamic business to recruit a part/nearly Qualified Financial Accountant. This pivotal role will support the finance team by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and providing insights that drive business decisions. The successful candidate will mentor junior staff and work across departments to improve efficiency, processes, and cost management. This role offers strong prospects for development and long-term career progression within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of balance sheet accounts and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with forecasting, management accounts, and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and year-end periods.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions when needed.
  • Support statutory reporting, including year-end accounts and audits.
  • Oversee finance functions as required, including accounts payable and team development programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify efficiencies, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.
  • Promote financial awareness across the business to support informed decision-making.
  • Support projects related to capital expenditure, operational improvements, and working capital optimisation.
  • Ensure adherence to employment, tax, and health & safety regulations.
  • Deputise for senior finance leadership when required.
  • Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role as required.
Skills & Experience
  • ACCA or CIMA qualified, or finalist with significant relevant experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced operational environment, ideally manufacturing or similar sectors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
