Qualifications

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their Finance Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with insightful financial reporting and analysis.

  • Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • A recognised Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent); part-qualified candidates may also be considered
  • Manufacturing industry experience is essential; contract accounting experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems and ERP platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A proactive attitude and a desire to develop and progress within the finance function

40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger management
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts
  • Provide strong technical accounting input and ensure compliance with international financial standards
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Develop and improve financial controls, systems, and procedures
  • Support the development and standardisation of consolidated reporting processes
  • Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and supporting documentation for audit purposes
