Qualifications

Your new role

As Financial Accountant, you'll take on a pivotal role within the Finance Directorate, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts and managing general ledger controls
  • Leading the year-end process and supporting internal/external audits
  • Managing technical areas such as IFRS 16 lease accounting and corporation tax analysis
  • Posting and reviewing journal entries to maintain financial accuracy
  • Driving continuous improvement in financial controls and procedures

What you'll need to succeed

  • Full qualification (ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong experience in financial statement preparation and auditing
  • Deep technical knowledge of IFRS, VAT, payroll, and other relevant standards
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for data analysis and presentation
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a methodical and commercially focused mindset
