Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged exclusively to source a Financial Accountant on a full‑time basis. This maternity cover role is offered until mid‑October 2026. Our client is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company based in London. This role is offered on a hybrid basis (two days in the office/three days from home). Candidates must be available to start immediately.

This role offers responsibility for a wide range of duties and exposure to a variety of issues and tasks, including extensive interaction with the wider business. The role suits a driven and hardworking individual who would enjoy working in a fast‑paced growth environment and is ready to provide their expertise and support for the growing demands on the Finance function.

The Opportunity

Background and Experience

• Degree level educated preferably in a finance or accounting related subject

• Upstream oil and gas operating company experience is desirable
