Job description
About Us

At Kind Tailored Care, we believe that care begins with kindness — both in the way we support our loved ones and in how we treat one another. We are proudly registered with both the CQC and CIW, providing compassionate, person-centred care across England and Wales.

Our dedicated team helps individuals live safely and comfortably in their own homes or within a nurturing environment. Every member of our organisation shares the same core values of honesty, loyalty, and kindness, which guide everything we do — from care delivery to business operations.

The Role

We are looking for a professional and experienced Financial Accountant to join our growing head office team in Chepstow. This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, reliability, and ethical practice.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of all day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and payroll legislation. You’ll also support the business with insightful reporting to help guide informed decision-making.

You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, from our Head Office in Chepstow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with UK accounting standards.
  • Process and administer monthly payroll, including PAYE, pensions (Auto-Enrolment), NI, and statutory payments.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, and financial statements.
  • Complete bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and HMRC submissions.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and year-end financial reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and HMRC as required.
  • Provide clear financial analysis to support business growth and operational planning.
About You

You’ll be someone who not only meets the technical requirements of the role but who also shares our values and approach to working with integrity.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to AAT Level 4 (or above).
  • Experienced — with at least three years’ bookkeeping, payroll, and financial accounting experience in the UK.
  • Highly knowledgeable about UK payroll legislation, PAYE, HMRC, and pension requirements.
  • Confident using accounting software and comfortable learning new systems.
  • Meticulous with excellent attention to detail and strong numerical ability.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Analytical, with the ability to turn numbers into insight.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate level or above).
  • A team player who is also capable of working independently.
  • Holds a full, clean driving licence and access to own transport.
  • Legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Above all, you will demonstrate honesty, loyalty, and kindness — values that define both our care and our culture.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Pension scheme and statutory holiday entitlement.
  • Ongoing professional development and training.
  • A warm, supportive, and collaborative working environment.
  • The opportunity to play a key role in a growing organisation that makes a real difference.
  • Access to our in-house Wellbeing Coach for personal and professional support.
