FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
  • Essential : Part-Qual Accountant + Financial Accounting OR Ext Audit + Financial Services
  • £35,000 - £45,000 + package
  • Offices : Brighton hybrid (WFH 3 days p / wk)

Pear Talent is representing an established Financial Services company who have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Accountant. Reporting directly to the Deputy Financial Controller you’ll play a key role in their regulatory reporting, contributing to their external financial results. This is a varied role with regular senior interaction, as well as contribution to Finance change and improvement initiatives.

You’ll be expected to partner across the business with other teams and senior stakeholders, taking a key role within a team that produce, analyse and deliver the external financial results.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support the Deputy FC in producing quarterly, half-yearly and annual regulatory reporting
  • Manage integrity of data in finance systems, driving development changes where required
  • Maintain, follow and develop financial risk and control
  • Work with the team to prepare responses to queries which our auditors may raise
  • Anticipate and prepare complex analysis as required that informs decision making
  • Contribute to Finance change and improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with other departments across the business, building effective relationships.
Required experience
  • Midway part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Previous financial accounting experience in industry with a Financial Services company OR external audit experience with a Top20 accounting practice covering clients across any industry
  • Relevant experience of accounting systems and good Excel skills
