Job summary

Venture Recruitment Partners is recruiting a Financial Accountant in Bournemouth. You will join a commercially minded finance team, owning the month-end close and delivering accurate reporting with involvement across budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow analysis.

You'll work with senior stakeholders, support statutory processes and drive improvements, with hybrid working and clear opportunities for career progression in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Commercially minded and keen to progress
• Experience with financial reporting, month-end accounts and reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close and ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews
• Support statutory accounts and year-end processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting
• Work closely with auditors and external advisers
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls
• Provide financial insight to operational and senior management
• Support finance projects as the business grows

We're working with a successful and growing business in Bournemouth that is looking to bring a talented Financial Accountant into its finance team. This is a newly created opportunity, giving you the chance to step into a role with genuine responsibility, visibility and room to develop. You'll be part of a commercially minded finance team, working closely with senior stakeholders and getting involved across the wider business.

What will you be doing?

As Financial Accountant, you'll have a broad remit covering both financial accounting and commercial finance, including:

• Owning the month-end close and ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews
• Supporting statutory accounts and year-end processes
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting
• Working closely with auditors and external advisers
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls
• Providing financial insight to operational and senior management
• Supporting finance projects as the business continues to grow
