  • Building strong relationships across Finance and wider business functions to identify opportunities for improvement and drive meaningful change.
  • Championing long-term thinking and helping to enhance team performance, capability and effectiveness.
  • Managing the idea intake and triage process, ensuring initiatives are prioritised appropriately and governance requirements are met.
  • Driving the adoption of automation, digital tools, AI and robotic process automation (RPA) to improve finance operations.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and delivering improvements across key finance activities, including month-end close and balance sheet controls.
  • Gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements to support successful project delivery.
  • Supporting benefit tracking, baselining activities and ensuring transformation initiatives deliver measurable value.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement activities and developing effective communication strategies that support successful change adoption.
  • Helping to build a culture that embraces continuous improvement, innovation and new ways of working.
  • Simplifying complex information and acting as an advocate for transformation at all levels of the organisation.
  • Creating a collaborative environment where teams can thrive, barriers are removed, and shared success is achieved.

  • Experience supporting or delivering finance transformation, process improvement or systems implementation projects.
  • An understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using a range of business systems and digital tools.
  • A curious mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
  • An awareness of digital technologies, automation, AI and robotics within finance, which would be advantageous.
  • A recognised finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working within a finance or business support environment, with an understanding of core finance processes such as Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Order to Cash (O2C), would be beneficial.
