A prominent financial services company is seeking a Finance SME for a 20-month Fixed Term Contract. The role involves management of finance change prioritization, supporting syndicate financial reporting, and facilitating communication across departments. Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, modelling and mathematical skills are essential.
  • Experience in syndicate finance is required.
  • Prior knowledge of IFRS 17 would be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Finance Change Prioritisation Working Group and report on finance change initiatives.
  • Provide support for syndicate results and balance sheet production.
  • Liaise with various departments including IT and Finance Systems.

Job description
Overview

Reporting to the Head of Syndicate Finance and Finance Change, this role will be responsible for providing both project and BAU support. In particular, as a Finance SME on the upcoming Global Finance GL Transformation Project as well management of ongoing Finance Small Change plus supporting the Syndicate Finance and Reporting teams in the effective production and delivery of financial information for the Canopius 4444 Syndicate as required. This will be a 20 month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities
  • Management of Finance Change Prioritisation Working Group including monthly meetings and associated documentation and monitoring and follow up of progress and deliverables
  • Monthly update and Reporting to Finance Leadership on status of Finance Change Portfolio key initiatives
  • SME participant on key Finance Projects
  • Regular updates including training sessions, where appropriate, to the Finance Capability on process changes and new functionality delivered through Finance Change
  • Regular liaison with other capabilities including, but not limited to, Change, Data, Finance Systems and IT
  • Provide flexible support for the delivery of the syndicate result & the production of the balance sheet
  • Support the Syndicate Finance Manager in various monthly and quarterly accounting activities
  • Support the Lloyds Reporting team with the delivery of annual returns
