Job summary

A leading global US law firm in London is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Operations Manager to join its finance leadership team. The role combines people leadership, process improvement and governance across multiple international offices.

The successful candidate will drive automation, AI-enabled solutions and modernisation of the finance function, while ensuring robust controls and regulatory compliance. Leadership of AP, cash receipts and supplier management is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant accounting operations experience with supervisory/managerial responsibility across AP, Cash Receipts, Treasury or Supplier Management.
• Experience in a professional services, legal or similarly regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and client money regulations is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management and commercial awareness with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of accounting operations across multiple international offices (AP, supplier management, cash receipts).
• Drive robust financial controls, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
• Lead initiatives to modernise finance through technology, automation and AI-enabled solutions.
• Collaborate with finance systems, procurement and regional teams to optimise workflows and reporting.
• Develop team capability, succession planning and allocate resources across changing priorities.
