Description

The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa Edinburgh is looking for a Finance Supervisor to join the team.

This is a permanent full time position based on property as part of a great team.

Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotlands leading 5 star hotels with the largest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh. One Square Brasserie and Bar and ONE SPA – Scotlands leading urban spa.

What you'll be doing
Job Functions :
  • Accounts Receivable / Sales Ledger
  • Revenue Controls
  • Accounts Payable / Commissions
  • General Cashiering
  • Assist with period end processing reporting and reconciliations
  • Work closely with Finance Manager and our Heads of Department to provide on‑going support.
  • Serve as a departmental role model and mentor; be a team ambassador.
  • Coordinate, assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Ensure company policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as directed by management.
In Summary :
  • Check figures, postings and documents for accuracy and proper codes.
  • Organise, secure and maintain all files, records, cash and keys in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records for financial and accounting data.
  • Classify codes and summarise numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using journals, ledgers and/or computers.
  • Prepare, maintain and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing or payroll reports and tables.
  • Complete period‑end closing procedures and reports as specified.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements according to company procedures.
  • Coordinate activities of the team ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Communicate any issues or challenges to team leader.
  • Represent team in absence of team leader.
