An innovative energy provider in the City of London seeks a Finance Systems Business Analyst to lead the testing of financial applications and facilitate the transition to new ERP systems. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in testing methodologies and tools, including Oracle NetSuite, as well as a strong ability to communicate with stakeholders. This role offers a collaborative environment focused on optimizing finance operations.
Octopus Energy has grown into a complex multi-billion turnover international group operating across multiple verticals including retail utilities, utilities management, generation, EV leasing and software sales. We are implementing NetSuite and supplementary Finance applications (e.g., OCR, AP Management) to streamline finance operations and improve efficiency. We are seeking a Finance Systems Business Analyst to play a key role in these initiatives.
Our legacy business management applications are at capacity. A new enterprise resource planning tool is required to provide a finance backbone for the Group and to integrate information flows across the group. Oracle NetSuite SAAS has been selected for this task, with additional applications being considered.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring the ongoing success of Finance and its systems for the Group and in maintaining appropriate controls that reflect the Group’s segregation of duties. It will also be pivotal in defining streamlined processes and procedures across the Group.
Working in Octopus’ Finance Systems & Transformation team, you will be responsible for leading and performing end-to-end testing of financial applications and transformation projects, building test management best practices, writing test strategies, and supporting business stakeholders with testing. Finance requires close coordination with other teams and tools within Octopus and you will test new systems managed both in-house and by third parties.
