The Actuary is seeking a Finance Systems Specialist / Finance Systems Accountant in London. The role is hybrid (2-3 days onsite) with an initial 6-month contract to support the setup for a new international office, aligning finance systems with accounting processes.

You will work with Finance, Technology and vendors, ensuring GL, AP, AR, billing and cash/accrual accounting are correctly configured and tested. Prior law-firm finance systems experience is highly valued.

Qualifikationen

• Strong Aderant Expert experience; Elite 3E is equally acceptable.
• Solid GL design and GL mapping knowledge.
• Good understanding of AP, AR, billing and cash/accrual accounting.
• Experience with finance systems implementation, configuration and testing.
• Ability to test transactions from sub-ledgers through to the GL.
• Proficiency in financial data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience collaborating with management/financial accountants.
• Experience setting up new offices/legal entities is highly desirable.
• Legal sector experience strongly preferred.
• SQL/financial reporting experience is beneficial.

I'm working with a leading international organisation that is looking for an experienced Finance Systems Specialist / Finance Systems Accountant to support a major period of growth and international expansion.

The immediate focus will be supporting the finance systems setup for a new international office, working closely with Finance, Technology and third-party vendors to ensure the financial structures, processes and reporting are configured and tested correctly.

This isn't a standard application support role - we're looking for someone who genuinely understands accounting and how it translates into the finance system.

Key experience:

• Strong Aderant Expert experience - Elite 3E also considered
• General Ledger design and GL mapping
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, billing and cash/accrual accounting
• Finance systems implementation, configuration and testing
• Testing transactions from sub-ledgers through to the GL
• Financial data validation and reconciliation
• Experience working closely with management/financial accountants
• New office, company or legal entity setup experience highly desirable
• Legal sector experience strongly preferred
• SQL / financial reporting experience beneficial

The ideal candidate will come from a Finance Systems Accountant, Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Manager or Senior Finance Systems Analyst background and combine strong systems knowledge with a solid understanding of the underlying accounting processes.

There is also potential for further project work supporting wider international growth and future finance transformation initiatives.

Recent experience working in a Finance Systems role within a law firm is essential to be considered for this opportunity.
