InfraBe, an energy transition infrastructure business, seeks a hands-on Finance professional in Manchester. You will handle core transactional tasks, drive process improvements and learn how technology can optimise finance operations.
You will start with accounts payable, supplier payments and reconciliations, then broaden to reporting, automation and systems optimisations across Finance. AAT or accounting degree is welcome.
Working pattern: 4 days per week in the office
Salary: £35,000 + bonus and wider benefits
We are a growing energy transition infrastructure business operating across a number of projects and assets in the UK.
We are looking for a hands-on Finance professional to join the team and support the day-to-day running of the Finance function, whilst developing an increasing focus on how technology can be used to improve the way Finance operates.
This is a broad role suited to someone at an early stage of their Finance career who has a good grounding in transactional accounting, is confident using technology and enjoys finding better ways of doing things.
You will initially spend the majority of your time supporting core Finance activities, including accounts payable, purchase orders, supplier payments, reconciliations and month-end processes. Over time, you will also become increasingly involved in improving processes, systems, reporting and the use of automation across Finance.
You do not need to be an automation or AI specialist. We are more interested in someone who is comfortable with technology, learns systems quickly and is naturally curious about how processes could be made more efficient.
As you develop within the role, you will have the opportunity to become increasingly involved in improving Finance processes and making better use of technology.
This could include:
Previous experience delivering automation or AI projects is not essential. What is important is that you are comfortable with technology, willing to learn and interested in understanding how systems can be used to make Finance more efficient.
We are looking for someone who is confident using technology and enjoys learning new systems.
You will ideally demonstrate:
Experience with tools such as Power Query, Copilot, AI applications or workflow automation would be advantageous, but is not essential.
This role would suit someone who is early in their Finance career and wants to develop beyond traditional transactional accounting.
You may have 1–2 years' experience in Finance, Accounts, Transactional Finance or a similar environment and be looking for a role where you can broaden your responsibilities.
You will be:
AAT, an Accounting degree or equivalent Finance experience would be beneficial, but we are open to candidates from a range of relevant backgrounds.
This is an opportunity to join a growing energy transition business at a stage where the Finance function is continuing to develop.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to core Finance operations, project and asset accounting, financial reporting and increasingly Finance systems and process improvement.
For the right person, the role provides scope to develop in two directions: building a strong Finance foundation whilst developing a broader understanding of technology, automation and how Finance functions can operate more effectively.
