Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Finance Systems Accountant - Projects to manage SAP FICO, system upgrades, and month-end close processes. This hybrid role sits at Clearwater Court, Reading, with a mix of office and remote work as required.

You will partner with finance to deliver budgeting, forecasting and reporting enhancements, including the ECC to S/4Hana upgrade, while maintaining strong internal controls and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP FICO, either as a competent user or implementation.
• Strong Excel skills to at least an intermediate level.
• Experience with SAP Project Systems and S/4Hana preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship skills.
• Fully or Part-qualified accountant with finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Solve system issues affecting budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Lead improvements and automate processes with IT teams and suppliers.
• Maintain financial controls in finance system processes.
• Enhance documentation and risk mitigation for the Finance System.
• Support month-end close for SAP ECC & ISU and ensure resilience.
