This is an exciting role in a small but busy finance team, working primarily in the Transactions Team looking after finance systems. The role is also varied in that you will work across the corporate and technical accountancy teams getting involved and offering support all sides of local authority finance. The role requires strong accounting experience and ICT skills as well as the ability to problem solve and offer practical solutions. This role will also deputise for the Transactional Accountancy and Systems Manager.
It is essential you possess an accounting qualification, or equivalent, and have a good eye for detail. Either strong knowledge of, or experience in AR and AP is essential. Ideally you would have experience of working on year end processes and with auditors and have experience of being a finance business partner, and experience of being a systems administrator. Experience of staff management is also required, as is the ability to see the bigger picture to help support the team in its processes.
