Job description

The Finance Systems Accountant is responsible for the maintenance of financial systems within Warner, principally the General ledger, FP&A, payment and expenses processing systems. Ensuring the finance systems support financial operations, drive efficiency, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement, ultimately contributing to the organisation's financial health and success.

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the finance systems
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance financial processes and ongoing efficiency
  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of new systems
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Ensuring adequate security controls and segregation of duties exists within the various financial systems and user roles within financial applications
  • Support the External statutory audit process
  • First point of contact for the finance team for system failures
  • Focus on the day to day support with the Finance Team as they utilise the system to drive efficiency and finance processes.
    Excel (comfortable with utilising formulas to manipulate data add efficiency into processing time and reporting)
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting system Unit 4 ERPx, and supporting systems i.Buy, Concur an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Finance or Banking is a plus.
  • Experience of system implementation and management of general ledger
  • Experience of automated expense systems
  • Experience of system implementation and management of general ledger and FP&A systems to support a finance team
