Conveo, a London-based AI research platform, is expanding its Finance & Strategy function to guide rapid growth from Series A to Series B and beyond. As a Finance & Strategy Associate, you will be the operator and guardian of the financial model, partnering with the CFO and leadership to shape capital allocation, revenue and hiring decisions, and strategic initiatives.

This role blends hands-on finance with strategic analysis, offering ownership and equity as Conveo grows internationally.

Qualifications

• Three-statement modelling and ad-hoc financial analysis experience.
• Ability to translate numbers into strategic decisions for stakeholders.
• Strong SaaS metrics understanding (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV).
• Experience with financial due diligence and fundraising is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial model and KPI tracking used by leadership and investors.
• Prepare live burn, runway, and KPI dashboards for decision-making.

About The Role

As Finance & Strategy Associate, you will work directly with the incoming CFO and as an integral part of the Finance team, helping build and scale the function as Conveo grows — combining hands‑on financial operations with the strategic analyses that inform major business decisions and support the company through Series B and beyond.

In this role, you'll start as the operator and guardian of Conveo’s financial model and KPIs , working directly with our CFO and leadership across all divisions. You’ll provide the analysis and financial insight behind significant decisions on capital allocation, revenue and expenses, hiring, and growth. The role comes with a high degree of independence: you’ll be expected to proactively identify what matters, challenge assumptions, and build a deep understanding of every figure behind Conveo’s financial performance.

This role is for a generalist who wants to sit at the intersection of finance and strategy — someone comfortable owning the numbers while helping shape the decisions behind them.

The first months will be predominantly finance‑focused, working closely with the CFO to operate, build, and scale the finance function. But the role will not be confined to financial analysis. As Conveo grows, you may work across a broad range of topics, including tax, compliance, fundraising, GTM, internationalisation, strategic projects, and other high‑priority business questions.

Over time, the role can evolve toward broader strategic work. How much you lean into these areas will depend on the needs of the business as well as your own aspirations, capabilities, and appetite for ownership.

Your Mission

Make Conveo’s Finance Function Bullet‑proof For Hypergrowth

• Cash & runway mastery — give the company and investors real‑time clarity on cash burn and liquidity management, enabling fast and confident decision‑making
• Financial strategy & planning — financial models, hiring plan, scenario analyses, KPI tracking and monitoring
• Investor & board reporting — own financial reporting for investors, support in future fundraising, and build financial credibility that unlocks Series B
• Business orchestration — ESOP & commission plans, pricing, deal economics, capital allocation
• Fundraising — Series B preparation, subsidies, financial due diligence, and possible other ways of financing

The weighting across these areas will shift with business needs and your aspirations over time.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

• 2–5 years of experience, ideally in investment banking, consulting, PE/VC, or a high‑growth startup
• Model mastery: three‑statement modelling, scenario analysis, business cases, and ad‑hoc models
• Strong analytical and communication skills — able to translate numbers into decisions for non‑finance stakeholders
• Unmatched interest in high‑growth startups
• Strong SaaS metrics understanding: ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, burn multiple / and or consumption‑based models
• Familiarity with accounting
• Ability to start in September, the earlier the better
• Willingness and right to work in UK
• Fluent in English

Mindset

Bonus

• Familiarity with Belgian, UK and US accounting
• Part of Series B or C fundraising and experience with financial DD
• Some touchpoints with FP&A are a plus but not a necessity
• Experience with 409A, R&D subsidies, tax administration, transfer pricing
