Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly motivated Finance Project Manager to lead finance improvement projects from inception to closure at Cunard Building, Liverpool. You will drive financial performance, support strategic initiatives, and manage change across the Finance & Resources directorate.

The successful candidate will coordinate procurement, engage stakeholders, and ensure benefits realisation, delivering value for money and robust financial controls within a public-sector

Qualifications

• Experience delivering finance improvement projects within a large organisation.
• Ability to manage complex projects from inception to closure.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Shape and define finance improvement projects and planning
• Deliver several diverse finance improvement projects on time and budget
• Identify and overcome obstacles, escalate risks as needed
• Drive adoption of new processes and systems with business readiness
• Coordinate procurement of goods and services for projects
• Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to drive outcomes
