Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 9-month fixed term contract in the UK. You will lead finance projects, establish clear structures, manage risks, and drive change readiness across the organisation with robust governance and documentation.

You will collaborate with sponsors and cross-functional teams, applying Agile or Waterfall approaches as needed, and ensure benefits are realised through effective transition into operations and service acceptance.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMI or equivalent.
• Proven track record delivering projects within complex or regulated environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets, governance and RAID.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, plans, budgets and timelines.
• Governance, reporting and RAID management across projects.
• Apply Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies as appropriate.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations.
• Ensure smooth transition to operations with proper documentation and handover.
