Job summary

A public sector organization in Derry/Londonderry seeks an experienced project manager to lead quality improvement initiatives in finance services. The role requires a degree and relevant experience. The successful candidate will drive projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and implement improvements in financial systems. This temporary position offers £23.60 per hour with 37.5 weekly hours.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience at Band 6 or equivalent in a Finance Department.
  • 5 years of experience in a Finance Department for alternative qualification.
  • Experience in leading service quality improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality service improvement project for Direct Payments Finance service.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives within Financial Assessments service.
  • Establish superfunds for Endowment & Gifts and register with the NI Charities Commission.
  • Develop a computerized system for expenditure applications from funds.
  • Review service delivery model for Corporate Appointeeship.

Responsibilities
  • Lead in the undertaking of a quality service improvement project in relation to the Direct Payments Finance service.
  • Lead in the undertaking quality improvement initiatives within the Financial Assessments service.
  • Lead on the establishment of superfunds for Endowment & Gifts and the registrations of funds with the NI Charities Commission.
  • Lead on the development of a computerised system for the application and approval of expenditure from Endowments and Gifts Funds.
  • Lead in reviewing the service delivery model for Corporate Appointeeship.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Have at least a degree or equivalent qualification and 3 years’ experience at Band 6 or equivalent in a Finance Department
  • Or 5 years’ experience in a Finance Department.
  • Experience in leading/contributing to service quality improvement projects achieving clearly defined outcomes.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
  • (This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.)
