Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a large, household-name business in South Nottingham for a temporary Finance Assistant. The role offers hybrid working (2 days per week at home) and a supportive, positive working environment in a retail/finance setting.

You will assist with project-based finance work, use SAP and Excel, review financial information, maintain records, perform reconciliations and reporting, and ensure data is collated within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting or finance-related tasks within a professional setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency with financial software and tools, such as Excel and ideally SAP.
• An understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with project based work in the finance department.
• Using SAP.
• Getting involved in a large, deadline based task.
• Supporting the team with reviewing financial information, checking data and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting the team with reconciliations and reporting activities where required.
• Ensuring information is collated and processed within agreed deadlines.
• Providing ad hoc assistance to the finance department.
