bpha is seeking an experienced Financial Processing Manager to lead Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. You will drive financial controls, support monthly reporting and ensure timely regulatory filings from Bedford with hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll teams, setting clear priorities and supporting colleagues to perform effectively.
• Ensure payroll, supplier payments, customer receipts and debt-processing activities are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain effective financial controls across the Financial Processing function, identifying risks and ensuring appropriate remedial action.
• Review reconciliations and ensure issues are investigated and resolved promptly to maintain integrity of financial information.
• Provide accurate and timely information to support monthly management reporting and year-end processes.
• Ensure relevant regulatory returns and payments are completed accurately and on time.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audit queries relating to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
• Work collaboratively across Finance and the wider organisation to improve processes, systems and service delivery.
• Identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency and ensure the function meets changing business needs.
