Due to our strong global growth and private equity investment from Vista Equity Partners, we are looking for an proactive and detail‑oriented Finance Operations Specialist to join our dynamic Finance team.
About the Role
This role is essential in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day financial operations, accurate transaction processing, and efficient supplier and customer management. This person will handle a variety of tasks in a fast‑paced environment, contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation while supporting ad‑hoc projects.
Note: This is a remote position, open to applicants based in the UK.
In this role you will
- Import bank transactions and oversee daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify changes to supplier details to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Execute supplier payment runs, including out‑of‑course payments, while adhering to approval processes and deadlines.
- Manage the finance inbox, responding promptly to internal and external queries.
- Handle intercompany cash requirements, including forecasting, transfers, and reconciliations.
- Conduct customer follow‑ups for queries and unpaid debts to support cash flow and resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform light bookkeeping duties, such as journal entries, ledger maintenance, and basic reporting.
- Undertake ad‑hoc tasks, including providing support for finance projects as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in the Google Suite and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis) for reporting and reconciliation tasks.
- Project Experience: Proven experience contributing to finance‑related projects, demonstrating the ability to manage timelines, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver results.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in finance operations, accounts payable/receivable, or similar roles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for managing inquiries and stakeholder interactions.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial processing.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite) is a plus.
- A natural team player and lifetime learner.
- Highly collaborative and able to work with an agile, distributed team.
- Familiar with multi‑currency and multi‑jurisdictional considerations in Finance and Operations.
