Job summary

Newton Maxwell International in South Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for the group, reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a four‑person team.

You will drive finance system improvements, FP&A support, cash-flow forecasting and credit control, with exposure to ERP platforms such as Expedian or similar.

This is a 12‑month FTC to cover maternity leave.

We are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager on behalf of our client, a leading construction and infrastructure services group in the South Hertfordshire area. This is a 12-month FTC starting as soon as possible.

THE ROLE

As the Finance Manager you will be mainly responsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for the group of companies, so experience in these areas is essential. You will report directly to the Head of Finance whilst leading and developing a high-performing team of four.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for a similar sized business. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of leading, training and developing finance teams, with experience improving and implementing finance systems and controls.

You will have had some exposure to ERP or finance systems (e.g. Expedian or similar). You will also have had some experience with FP&A as well as credit risk, debt collection and cash-flow processes.

This is a 12-month FTC (maternity cover).
