Job summary

Greener and Cleaner in Bromley seeks a Head of Finance & Operations to lead financial management, governance and internal operations. You will work closely with the CEO and Trustees, overseeing budgeting, cash flow, payroll, supplier payments, and year-end accounts while guiding risk and GDPR compliance and maintaining strong systems to support strategic delivery.

You will also oversee fundraising and line-manage a small team across finance, administration, and fundraising.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance and operations leadership for a charity or non-profit
• Strong financial management skills including budgeting and forecasting
• Experience of governance, risk and regulatory compliance in a not-for-profit setting
• Track record of developing and improving organisational systems and processes
• Experience of managing and supporting people to work effectively as a team
• Confident collaboration with CEO, Board and fundraising teams

Responsibilities

• Lead on the charity's financial management and strategy, including budgets, cash flow forecasting, management accounts and financial reporting
• Oversee payroll, pensions, supplier payments, invoicing and year-end accounts
• Governance oversight including Charity Commission requirements, GDPR and data governance, acting as Data Protection Officer
• Support HR and recruitment processes across the charity
• Help develop organisational systems, planning and project management
• Collaborate with fundraising to develop and monitor fundraising targets
• Line manage a small team across finance, administration and fundraising
