Job summary

A leading construction firm in Winchester is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to manage daily financial operations. Responsibilities include preparing management accounts, overseeing year-end processes, and managing ledgers. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in finance, be qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA), and possess strong knowledge of CIS and VAT processes. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of CIS and reverse VAT processes.

Anchor Pipework Ltd and its associated companies are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to manage the daily financial operations of the businesses. This is a key role with the opportunity to contribute to strategic financial management and ensure the smooth running of core finance functions.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for directors
  • Oversee year-end processes and ensure accurate financial records
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing, and work-in-progress tracking
  • Administer PAYE, VAT, CIS returns, and payments
  • Manage reverse VAT
  • Processing nominal ledger journals and adjustments
  • Complete bank reconciliations and produce cashflow forecasts
  • Support the annual budgeting process and departmental financial planning
  • Generating financial reports as required
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a finance role (construction sector preferred)
  • AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of CIS and reverse VAT processes (preferred)
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
