Reporting to the Directors and Executive Business Manager, the Finance Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management:
    • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
    • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Budgeting & Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Generate and analyse financial reports, providing insights to support decision-making.
    • Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
    • Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, including tax filings, VAT, and payroll.
  • Payroll Management:
    • Process monthly payroll, including deductions, pensions, and statutory payments.
    • Address employee queries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Systems & Process Improvement:
    • Assist in developing and maintaining financial systems and procedures.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process efficiency and cost savings.
