Your World Recruitment Ltd in United Kingdom (Northern Ireland) is recruiting for a Band 5 Finance Officer on a temporary basis. The role is based in Newtownards with hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days at home) and a 9–12 month duration, ASAP start. Pay is up to £15.88 per hour PAYE including holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Hold a current driving licence and is a car driver.
• University degree and 2 years suitable relevant financial experience
• or AAT/HND qualified and 2 years suitable relevant financial experience
• or Part Qualified with one of the CCAB recognised bodies and 1 year(s) suitable relevant financial experience
• or 3 years suitable relevant financial experience at Band 4 level
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a range of stakeholders
• Competent at Microsoft Excel, ability to manipulate large volumes of data, wide range of functions and then provide analysis on this data
• Confident with accounting principles - accruals, prepayments etc.
• Ideally, experience in management accounts, investigating variances.
• Ability to manage workload to meet department deadlines

Responsibilities

• Liaise with senior Trust staff to understand budgets and queries.
• Assist with annual budget setting within guidelines and timelines reflecting the Trust's strategy.
• Contribute to cash releasing efficiency plans, recovery plans and contingency plans for the directorate.
• Assist Finance Manager to identify threats to financial stability and propose rectifications to ensure breakeven.
• Develop use of financial systems, reporting and enquiry tools to improve financial information quality.
• Deal with ad hoc reporting and enquiries from Senior Finance Managers and other senior staff.

Job Description

• To liaisewith andmeet with senior Trust staffin order toassistwith their understanding of budgets or toassistwith any related queries.
• Assistwith the annual budget setting process within agreed guidelines andtimetables andhelping to ensure that they reflect the Trust's financial strategy and income profile.
• Assist the Band 7 Finance Officer in contributing to the development of cash releasing efficiency plans, recoveryplansand contingency plans for the directorate.
• Support the Finance Manager in the early identification of threats to the financial stability of the Trust by highlighting risks within the directorate and agreeing rectification measures to ensure breakeven is achieved.
• Toassistin developing the use of financial systems, reporting and enquiry tools and working methods to advance the quality and efficiency of Financial Management information.
• To deal with ad hoc reporting and enquiries as required by Senior Finance Managers and other senior Trust staff.
