Job description

We're looking for an organised and proactive Finance & Admin Officer to join our clients team and support our Finance Business Partner and senior management across the business. This is a varied and hands‑on role where no two days are the same — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and operational teams.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of finance operations, from processing timesheets and expenses to supporting invoicing, purchase orders, and cost control across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Activities
  • Check weekly submissions against tracker and confirm pricing
  • Verify time entries and job numbers for accuracy
  • Allocate rates and enter time into Job Logic (cost control system)
  • Collate data and prepare summaries for payroll processing
  • Review and validate expense claims and rates
  • Check expense account activity for appropriate use
  • Post relevant transactions into Job Logic
  • Support billing processes for major clients, especially in the absence of senior finance or operations staff
  • Obtain or raise purchase orders for invoices
  • Chase quote approvals and verify values against job budgets
  • Review outstanding or zero‑value POs and liaise with project managers
Reporting to
  • Group Financial Controller / Finance Director
About You
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator across all business levels
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
  • Comfortable using finance or project systems (experience with Job Logic or similar is advantageous)
  • Strong IT skills MS Excel (including familiarity with pivot tables, lookups, etc)
  • Previous experience in a finance, project administration, or commercial support role required
